Ahead of the upcoming Bakrid festival, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced strict directives to maintain law and order and ensure smooth celebrations across the state. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed officials to ensure that religious activities are carried out in a disciplined and lawful manner without causing inconvenience to the public.

According to the state administration, animal sacrifice will not be permitted in public spaces under any circumstances. The government has clearly stated that such practices must only be conducted at designated and authorized locations. Authorities have been asked to ensure strict compliance with these guidelines to avoid any violation of public order.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized that roads, highways, and public places must not be blocked for any religious gathering or prayer activities. He directed officials to ensure that traffic movement remains uninterrupted and citizens do not face inconvenience during the festival period. The government has also instructed that namaz or any other religious activity should not be performed on roads or public thoroughfares.

In a high-level review meeting, the Chief Minister asked district administrations and police officials to remain on high alert, especially in sensitive areas. He also directed them to strengthen security arrangements and maintain constant surveillance to prevent any untoward incident during the festival.

Municipal bodies have been instructed to make proper arrangements for cleanliness and waste management, particularly in areas where sacrificial activities are legally permitted. The government has stressed that hygiene and public health must not be compromised under any circumstances.

Officials have also been asked to engage with community leaders and religious representatives to promote peace and mutual understanding. Peace committee meetings are being organized in several districts to ensure cooperation and coordination among different communities.

The administration has warned that strict action will be taken against those violating the guidelines. Social media platforms will also be monitored closely to prevent the spread of rumors or provocative content that could disturb communal harmony.

Security agencies have been directed to deploy adequate personnel at sensitive locations and use surveillance tools such as CCTV cameras and drones for better monitoring.

Overall, the Uttar Pradesh government has reiterated its commitment to ensuring peaceful celebrations of Bakrid while maintaining public order, safety, and communal harmony across the state.
